Department: Sciences and Mathematics
Purpose of Department:
The Department of Sciences and Mathematics is dedicated to providing a quality education in order to prepare students for their chosen careers or post-graduate studies. The Sciences and Mathematics Department offers degrees in Biology (BS or BA), Environmental Studies (BA), and Exercise and Sport Science (BS). The department also offers minors in Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Studies.
Summary of Position:
William Peace University, a vibrant and diverse independent institution in Raleigh, NC, seeks to appoint a scholar with expertise in the field of Environmental Biology. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a part-time lab course-credit load on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the fall semester effective August 14, 2019.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
The faculty member in this position will teach two sections of BIO 101 Principles of Biology lab with the following schedule:
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
• MS in Biological Science
• Experience teaching at the collegiate or university level
The preferred qualifications for this position are:
• Ph.D. in Biological Science
• Two years of experience teaching college-level courses
