For applicants within 4 years of Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree to join group investigating corneal fibrosis (haze) in the cornea produced by myofibroblasts that differentiate from bone marrow-derived cells and resident fibroblastic cells, and also to study basement membrane regeneration and the role of the basement membrane in regulating cytokine-mediated epithelial-stromal and endothelial-stromal cell interactions. Applicants must have expertise in cellular and molecular biology laboratory techniques. Due to grant funding source requirements applicants must be a US citizen or permanent resident of the US.
