Job Description:
STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Under general direction, this position will manage/coordinate Student Health Services by providing health care and health education for college students and staff. Employees in this classification perform clinical work. This individual will be responsible for developing and coordinating health care and health education programs, providing direct medical care, and providing medical information/education. He/she will also be responsible for the coordination of assigned staff.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to Director of the Wellness Center.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage Student Health Services by providing health care and health education for students.
Provide direct medical evaluation, referral, emergency/first aid services, and nursing care to students and staff, under the direction of the Supervising Physician.
Collaborate with Campus Police in response to campus accidents and injuries.
Coordinate assigned staff, including a part-time nurse, a part-time clerical staff, and clinical interns.
Provide education and information to students through one-on-one counseling and health education programming and screenings at all Bristol locations.
Review and evaluate health records to ensure student compliance with the state immunization laws and health-science-program clinical requirements.
Complete the annual state immunization survey.
Collaborate with Mental Health Counseling staff to increase student retention and meet department goals and objectives.
Serve as liaison to community agencies and develop community connections with resources to streamline student referrals.
Serve as a resource/advocate for the College community regarding health and safety issues.
Obtain, utilize, and maintain inventory levels of various medical supplies and equipment; order and stock medical supplies, equipment, and literature; utilize/operate various medical equipment.
Perform administrative tasks associated with department activities including record-keeping, budget monitoring, reporting, and creating marketing materials.
Travel to all Bristol locations to ensure parity of service.
Maintain professional knowledge in applicable areas through continued training, development, and education.
Perform other related duties as assigned, consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
