The Department of Physics and Earth-Space Science at the University of Indianapolis invites applications for an Associate Adjunct Professor of Physics position to begin August 2018. This is a nine-month part time position.
A master's degree in physics and/or geophysics is required; PhD preferred. Teaching experience is also strongly preferred.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach 21 hours of introductory physics courses. The ability to teach some advanced physics courses will be viewed favorably. Interest or experience with PBL, PER, and undergraduate student research are very attractive and align well with current departmental priorities. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience developing and practicing teaching strategies that actively engage students both inside and outside the classroom.
Teach 21 hours of introductory physics courses
