Job DescriptionA Postdoctoral Researcher position is available immediately at the LSU Health Sciences Center Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center in New Orleans, LA to join Dr. Zhiqiang Qin’s laboratory. The selected candidate will study the role of human endogenous retroviruses (HERV) K transactivation in AIDS-related Kaposi’s Sarcoma. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with a strong background in molecular biology, animal models, viral oncogenesis, and manuscript writing while possessing skills in mutagenesis, cloning, RNA and DNA preparation, FACS analysis, cell-based assays including western blotting, co-IP, cell proliferation/growth, manipulation of cell culture, and immunofluorescence staining. Required Qualifications: PhD in Basic Science, Health Science, or related field; MD or DDS may also be acceptable.
