Summary Description: Columbia University's Department of Electrical Engineering is in search of an Associate Research Scientist. The Associate Research Scientist will be responsible for doing research on developing (design, simulation, fabrication and testing) a new nano/microphotonics tool for different biomedical applications. S/he will assist the Columbia Nanophotonics group leader to write different grant applications. S/he will guide and helps the group graduate students in different aspect of their research including doing experiments, fabrication and theoretical modeling.

Minimum Qualifications: The candidate must have a PhD degree and at least 2 years of research experience in nanophotonics.

Preferred Qualifications:

As a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Council of Ivy Group Presidents (Ivy League), it is imperative that members of the Columbia University community, in all matters related to the intercollegiate athletics program, exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with regard to adherence to NCAA, Conference, University, and Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education rules and regulations.
